NOTES

The "gw" at the beginning of the word gwneud is nearly always not pronounced in natural speech so it is pronounced 'neud.
The word for "the" is y before a consonant yr before a vowel and 'R after a vowel. The word for "town" is actually tre ( or sometimes more formally tref) but it mutates after the word for "the" because it is a feminine singular noun. Do not worry about this at this stage. It will be explained later in more detail.

How to sound more natural

Words ending in "aeth" such as Llywodraeth, which are incidentally mostly feminine nouns, tend to be pronounced locally in South Wales with an "eth" sound replacing the "aeth" sound.
