NOTES

This past tense is simply formed by putting an ending onto a root.Generally this is the normal ending of a verb. If it ends in a Consonant or if it ends in a vowel this is dropped. We will cover the exceptions later. The endings for the I and you familiar forms are usually pronounced "es" and "est". Cysges i Cysgest ti etc. In the Swansea valley and areas to the east of there you may find people using the ending "ws" instead of "odd". This is a feature of the old dialect of South Eastern Wales.
