Dych chi'n byw yn Abertawe?
Do you live in Swansea?
Ydw.
Yes. (I do)
Dych chi'n byw yng Nghaerdydd?
Do you live in Cardiff?
Nac Ydw.
No ( I do not)
Ydy e'n mynd i'r dre?
Is he going to town?
Nac Ydy.
No he isn't.
Ydy hi'n feddyg.
Ydy.
Athro Dych chi?
A teacher, Are you?
Nage, Meddyg dw i.
No, I'm a doctor
Meddyg yw e?
Ie.
Yes.

NOTES
Remember ie and nage are used as contradictory answers to questions. When it is said "Teacher he is" ie and nage are used. Otherwise it is the appropriate form of the verb that forms the yes or no answer.
