Having to do something.

Mae rhaid i fi fynd.
I have to go. (There is a neccesity for me to go.)
Mae rhaid i ti ddod.
You have to come.
Mae rhaid iddo fe siarad Cymraeg.
He has to speak Welsh.
Mae rhaid iddi hi stopio.
She has to stop.
Mae rhaid i ni weld.
We have to see.
Mae rhaid i chi ddarllen.
You have to read.
Mae rhaid iddyn nhw wrando.
They have to listen.
Mae rhaid i dy fam ddod.
Your mother has to come.

NOTES

This pattern will come up in other ways later so it is advisable to learn it well. The final verb takes a soft mutation never mind what is in between. Also notice the introduction of dy for "your" ( familiar TI form) it also causes a soft mutation. We will be covering this in more detail later.
