NOTES

The actual full word is gyda but in ordinary speech this is shortened. North Wales Welsh uses a different word gan for this construction. It changes with the person, there is a different version for i you he she has etc. Using gyda is easier. You will notice that there is no word for "a" or "an" in Welsh. Also take notice of singular and plural forms when they are supplied and take time to learn them. Plurals can be complicated in Welsh. Fortunately they are not used very much, as we will see later, numbers, for instance, use the singular form of the noun.
